Good Medicine, a Family Feel, and Deep Community Roots

Dr. Caroline Lea Tyndall

Veterinarian, Owner

Dr. Lea grew up on her family's tobacco and cattle farm in Moore County, NC. Her love for animals and passion to become a veterinarian began at an early age and has continued throughout her life. She attended NC State University, where she obtained both her bachelor's in animal science and her doctorate of veterinary medicine. Following graduation, she started her career as an associate veterinarian for Animal Health Center in 2015, which she maintained until purchasing the practice from Dr. Keith Harrison in October 2018. After the previous owner's closed Raeford Animal Clinic, she purchased that practice and reopened it as Raeford Animal Hospital in June 2022. Dr. Lea has a special interest in feline medicine but thoroughly enjoys all aspects of medicine and surgery. She is a member of several professional associations, including the American Association of Feline Practitioners as well as the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Lea is excited to be able to help the pets and pet owners of Hoke County and looks forward to a mainstay in the community for years to come. Outside of work, Dr. Lea and her husband Jared stay busy with their three precious children (Olivia, Allison, and Cameron) and their pets Eddie (Pug), Jules (Golden Retriever), and Skitt (dilute calico kitty). They also love cheering on the Wolfpack at NC State and are proud football season ticket holders!

Dr. Tucker's special areas of interest are feline medicine, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and wound management. When not at work, she enjoys reading, knitting, and cooking. She is currently the underappreciated human servant of 3 cats: Smudge, Spooky, and Muggsy Bogues.

Jared Tyndall

Practice Manager

Jared is not only our hardworking practice manager, but he also happens to be Dr. Lea's wonderful husband. Jared began his career as a veterinary assistant at a private practice in Raleigh in 2004. He stayed with that practice until 2014, when he joined Banfield Pet Hospital in Cary as their practice manager until Dr. Lea was lucky enough to convince him to leave to join the West Pine team. With Dr. Lea so busy at West Pine, Jared relished the opportunity to spearhead the opening of Raeford Animal Hospital and is excited to continue to see the practice grow with the city of Raeford. Jared is a huge animal lover and has a special interest in caring for our more fearful pets, who sometimes need an extra dose of TLC. In his spare time Jared thoroughly enjoys watching sports, with pro football being his favorite sport and the Denver Broncos being his favorite team.
